Im going to buy a gaming pc soon, but im not sure what to get. Right now it is between 650ti BOOST SLI or a single 670. The 650TI BOOST performs better and is cheaper, but ive heard alot of people say SLI has alot of problems and stuff like that. I am not sure who to listen to so i need someone pro to help me :p

This review from TechPowerUp seems to think GTX 650 Ti Boosts in SLI is a great idea. They also note that SLI is generally well-supported and relatively problem free. Just make sure your motherboard supports SLI.

Quote:
"After running the GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost SLI through our test suite, I have to admit that I'm impressed. The duo delivered performance easily matching and often exceeding much more expensive single-card options such as the GeForce GTX 680 and Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition, and they don't cost as much. SLI multi-GPU scaling works well with all of our titles except for F1 2012. Scaling by going from one to two GTX 650 Ti Boost cards is around 70%, even with F1 2012 taken into account. Unlike AMD, NVIDIA does a good job of maintaining its SLI profiles, so you should be able to play new games without a long wait for multi-GPU support. However, the risk that a game will not be supported still exists, and you might, at worst, end up with single-card performance. This is in my opinion, given the massive performance-per-dollar advantage, an acceptable tradeoff. I would definitely recommend a GTX 650 Ti Boost SLI setup to a friend looking to spend as little money as possible on a high-end gaming rig."

This is about the only review on the web that ran the Boost SLI through a frame rating test:

Doesn't look too bad.

I would also check out PC Perspective's review of the GTX 660 in SLI using FCAT testing, which should be a close approximation of the 650 Ti Boost in SLI. They really don't seem to have a lot of problems.

The PSU im going with is the Corsair CX 750M 750W. Would i be able to run 2 MSI GTX 670 PE in SLI in the future on this PSU?

You'll be fine, the 670's are only about 170w cards and I've had two 170w cards running on a Corsair 620w PSU for a couple of years.

The 670 is over 100$ more expensive and goes over my budget. Is it really that much better to go with 1 card? the benchmarks says that the 650ti boosts are faster.

then go gtx 660ti now & add one later than should do the trick considering the performance in non sli games you will be using only one card instead of two. If the games engine support physx then one doing the physx other wise no use of the second gpu in the system & also the power consumption & heat. also you can image what 660ti sli cn do later once you again have budget down the line

Ok, i think i will be getting a 660 TI and upgrade in the future then, but i have 2 more questions. Will i be able to play Metro last light with a single 660TI? and just for an extra double check, is the corsair cx 750m good enough for x2 660ti's?
