I have an HP Pavilion g7 Notebook with an AMD A6 3420m APU. It was originally purchased at Best Buy for 450$ and it had 4 Gb of RAM and 500 Gb of HDD space. since i've had it, I've doubled the Ram to 8 Gb and the HDD space to 1 TB. I went to http://www.gadgetvalue.com/ and put in all the information it asked for and said it was worth about 600$ - 650$ but i wanted a second opinion.

You can probably get away with selling it for about the same price you paid for it or a bit more. Competitively, I'd say $400 would be best. Any over, and you can just get a better one at Best Buy.

Your laptop goes for about $250 - 300 with factory parts. Since you've upgraded it you can get $350 - 400 if you're lucky .... not saying its impossible

you sure all i can get is 400$? 'cause i really wanted to use the money for a decent desktop if i could get 550-600$, which is what i wanted to sell it for.

You can try it. Maybe some idiot will buy it. But it's not likely that you'll find someone fast. $400 is still decent.

well 400 alone is decent for the computer alone, but the 550-600 price was including a monitor. i can only get the computer with the 400 but without a monitor it's useless.

Again, you can try to sell it at $500-$600. If someone buys it great! If not, you're wasting time. I'd rather get $400 in a few days than wait a month for someone to buy the $500-$600. That was just an example. Depends how urgently you need money.
