Hello everyone! =]]
here's my favorite time of the year -NEW GAMING PC TIME OF THE YEAR :DDDDD

Alright so I been preparing for this for sometime now - and I'm finally ready for the trip to the computer shop=0)

I haven't been following what's happening with amd/intel/nvidia lately please help me out here..

So the idea with this PC is to save money right now, but upgrade the build soon within 6-8 months with more RAM, additional video card and eventually better cpu if needed.

I got some components and accessories to use with the game rig already heres the details:

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: VERY SOON -- MAY 11-12

Components that I already have are:

-1TB 7200 HDD
-500GB 7200 HDD
(I'm going to wait up to buy an SSD right now, will get in a couple months)
-older case
-secondary 17" older monitor (will be getting new 1080p main monitor in 2-3 months)

Accessories that I already have are:

-razer naga plus mat, sony headphones , samson condenser mike so3u.

### TO BUY:
-CPU
-RAM
-Motherboard
-Video card
-Power supply

Budget Range --->> 600 GDP ~ 930 USD After Shipping //
(no need to spend necessary all of it - I will be upgrading soon)

Any combination of AMD/NVIDIA/INTEL...

*The idea is to get good upgradable parts without maxing out on RAM or multiple videocards right away, just to start playing decently, then upgrade with extra ram, cards, ssd, new monitor etc

*my plan was to
1)spend most money on the video card, add a second one later
2)get and i5 with decent not too expansive mobo and 8 gb of ram to double at the next upgrade
3) could save on the PSU right now , and just replace it when i decide to go sli/cf ...
//

System Usage from Most to Least Important: high end gaming , video editing, movies, Internet

Location: London UK
Overclocking: Yes at latter date
SLI or Crossfire: Yes after 6-8 months
Are you buying a monitor: No
Parts to Upgrade: no
Do you need to buy OS: No

Monitor Resolution: secondary monitor 1280x1024 (will be getting new 1080p main monitor in 2-3 months)

Why Are You Upgrading: Games to be played ARMA 3 high-settings, Planetside 2, FARCRY 3, Skyrim, CS:GO.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: any that ship to UK or a London PC shop (whats the best London PC shops? is online purchase much better?)

If I missed anything just let me know - any tips/ advice much appreciated
Thanks you!! =]]

A good CPU cooler is necessary when overclocking and the CM evo is bang for the buck!

For now latest setup i think is gonna work --- buying from amazon + free shipping

Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155, 6Mb L3 Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0) - Intel
£171.97

ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP Motherboard (Socket 1155, Intel H77, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX) - ASrock
£69.03

Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC Nvidia Graphics Card (2GB GDDR5, PCI Express 3.0, HDMI, DVI-I, DVI-D, DisplayPort, Nvidia 3D Vision Surround Ready, SLI Support) - Asus
£164.97

Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Two Module Kit - Corsair
£56.99

Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit - Corsair
£46.66

TOTAL: £504
--------------------------------------------

---> my doubt is the power supply - is 500w going to be enough? i will have 2 hdds plus 1 ssd

i was thinking getting the corsair GS600 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Gaming-Series-Edition-Bronze/dp/B00AMLKARU/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=68656c7064757-20 )(£63) to give it more room?

or go directly to GS800 800W (£82) and be ready for when i get the second card in sli?

p.s. or probably gs600 would be already good enough to keep 2 nvidias 660 already? :)

Z77 motherboard supports overlocking better and yes a 500 watt PSU would be fine get the Seasonic 520 watt power supply its better.
