I'm Crossfiring two corsair 7970 OC editions

Now i only have 2 monitors, since i cant connect the 3rd. I am using the HDMI and 1 DVI port. When connecting the 3rd screen to the 2nd DVI the screens are black on bootup. Anyway, i'm wondering if i need an "active DP-VGA/DVI adapter" i saw one for 20$ and i would buy it instantly, if i knew it would work. And even if It would work i still need the DP-DVI/VGA because i have a 4th screen (a small one given to me by someone) and would need to connect that anyways. Thanks!

Oh, and i have another question, but i don't want to start up a new thread. I have The Asrock X79 Extreme4 and my 12gb ram died (it was from my previous PC) so I'm getting a 16gb kit in june or so. Anyway, i saw this kit:

CORSAIR VENGEANCE RED 16GB CL9 - CMZ16GX3M4X1866C9R

http://btracunalniki.si/sl/p/4884/corsair-vengeance-red-16gb-cl9-cmz16gx3m4x1866c9r-kit.html

Anyway it's 1866mhz ram and the reason i'm asking is because on the Asrock Mobo RAM compatibility list, it's not listed. I really dont wanna spend 130€ for something that doesn't work.

Thank you! :D

Thanks, ill probably getting that adapter. Im really tired of wasting hours looking for adapters.

As for the ram i found on at 160€ at 1866mhz that is compatible. Anyway, is there a problem of its 1,65V? Arent they ussualy supposed to be 1,5V? Anyway this is it:

Under the 1866mhz speed ram you can see the exact same ram listed:

I'm no memory expert so I would actually say go ahead and make a new post asking that specific question. My 2cent however is that since it's 1833 you would have to overclock the memory, and in order to achieve that the memory needs to be able to handle more voltage. It will probably work, but just make a new post about the memory.

Any other eyefinity questions?

Well, thanks for the adapter it DOES work, but, upon starting my system, only the Main 24" screen and the left screen (the one with te DP>Dvi converter) start working. BUT after the loging screen, the monitor using the DP to dvi Stops workig. The right monitor never starts, although it's connected to the power. I am running my 24" HDMI>DVI, my left monitor DP-Dvi and my right monitor DVI-VGA. So i still have 1 free port on my Gpu (the second DVi). What am I doing wrong?

Hey, sorry i wasnt able to reply, i just finished school a few days ago. Anyway it works now. Turns out, it wouldnt work with the VGA screen. I tried again and again and only the main screen would work. So i connected a different, DVI monitor and it worked. But this was just a test, to see if i can actually have 3 or more screens at once. Because now i have the 24", a 19" and a 17" monitor. So I'm selling these and buying 2 more 24". Thanks for the help, and the adapter works like cheese! (lol)

So i finally got 2 new DVI cables. Now i have another problem... :) . I now have 3X 24" Benq gl2460 monitors set up in eyefinity as one monitor @5760x1080 and i just mounted a fourth monitor, Philips 190CW, just because i got it for free. It sits over the 3 with a wall mount.

So, as a reminder, i have this card.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202008

Here are the Connections:
DVI-I________>DVI-D Philips 190CW
DVI-D_______> DVI-D Benq GL2460
HDMI________> DVI-D Benq GL2460
Display Port__> DVI-D BenqGL2460 with the Adapter you advised me to get. Which works really good, BTW.

but here's the problem...

I connected the 4th (Phillips) monitor and it works, Power is on, it's connected to the GPU and all. In windows it also shows it's connected. My 3 monitors run great, but the 4th it shows like it's off under "screen resolution" in control panel. so i press on it and click "extend desktop to this monitor" but when i hit apply it's says "unable to save display setings" and the 4th monitor still looks "gray" in the screen res. as it's disconnected. And i got it working, but only if one of the benq monitors were "sacrificed" for it. I mean that only 2 benq monitors ran while the Phillips one ran too. And now that i have the 3 BENQ running, the Phillips doesn't! Ha... Now what?

On the GPU box there is a picture clearly stating 4 monitors being connected, and WHY even make a card with 4 inputs when you can't use 4 monitors?

Back to the drawing board...

The thing that bothers me is... I now have holes in my wall from the wall mount. And i'm not thinking of keeping a monitor over my head that doesn't work with my PC, so... i feel stupid.

Any help appretiated.
