Hey guys I've overclocked my i5-3570k to 4.7mhz as the title implies, but when I ran the windows proformace index it told me it was only running at the stock 3.4mhz and even my bios said 3.4mhz but CPU-z says 4.7mhz?? So I'm a bit confussed the temps are higher than 3.4mhz so I'm assuming it is actually running at 4.7mhz then??

Any help or advice will be apprieciated thanks

I had it turned off but was then told to turn it back on so I did but either way it didn't show my overclock

Aidan, you mean 4.7 gigahertz (GHz), not megahertz (MHz).

Leave Speed Step on. Windows is just showing you something like "Intel (R) Core (TM) i5 CPU 3570K @ 3.4GHz" right?

Download CPU-Z, run a program like Prime95 or Intel Burn Test, and check to see what frequency your CPU jumps to.

You're at 4.7 GHz. Are you sure your bios is saying you're at 3.4 GHz, and not just stating the processor like: "Intel i5 3570K @ 3.4 GHz"? Because if so, it's just stating the processor and stock frequency.

Ohh okay thanks haha yeh I think it is just that :/ thanks I'm new to this so was a little confussed.

Just one more thing, CPUz is saying that my dram frequency is 1000mhz when it should be 2133mhz?
