im thinking of upgrading my pc, but i dont know what is bottlenecking it, only upgrading to play games better (battlefield 3, crysis, gtav, farcry 3, rome total war, shogun, f1, iracing, company of heroes 2 )

getting a Zalman Z11 case and already have a OCZ octane 120gb sata 2 ssd that is yet to be installed, also replacing my arctic freezer 7 to a hyper 212 evo.

im just wondering what the next part to replace that may be a bottleneck, any help and/or advice is appreciated.

Definetely the CPU it's pretty old and should simply be replaced. And depending what settings your going to be playing at I would recommend a GPU upgrade also. I would like it if you could tell me what settings you would like to play your gams at .

If you want you could wait for the 760 Ti it's supposed to have 10-20% better performance than a gtx 660 ti and a 256 bit instead of a 192 bit memory bus so its's better at AA. It's also supposed to be at the same price point at 300 dollars I'm also waiting for it if you want to wait with me lol. Rumored release date is at Computex event June 4-8th

the problem is i havent got that much money to spend on the card, thats why when the 700 series launch, im hoping for 600 series to be cleared at low prices so i can grab a decent discounted card, i have around 160-180 is my budget, also just to let you know i will be purchasing all my items around the dates june 5-10 due to exams ending in that time

I'm pretty sure a gtx 660 ti won't go down to 160 dollars thats practically half price, but you could get a 7850 at that price range or just look around later and check out what other card prices the gtx 700 series release lowers.

Or just get a 7950 now, because a performance boost of 10% on the 660ti will still be slower than a 7950.

Oh then yeah just wait for the gtx 700 series to come out and either get a gtx 760 ti (if you can save up 300 dollars) benefits are better AA and performance boost, or a lowered price gtx 660 ti it's our choice btw if you get a gtx 660 ti and overclock it then i would recommend the msi PE edition of a gtx 660 ti has triple overvoltage and all that good overclocking stuff.

i dont mind to spend extra on a 760ti if its only 20 dollars more, are you sure these will be the release prices? also how cheap do you think the 660ti will become. thanks for the help

I can't say 100% that it is going to be the price point when it comes out , but when the 780 was still a rumor they estimated 800 dollars and it's actually only 650 dollars. and if I had to estimate I would say 30-50 dollars if we are lucky.
