Let me just tell you, Microcenter has a HUGE sale on the i7 3770k for only $230!!!!

Here is my build, only $1000 but this includes a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If you don't need those take them out. The rest of the computer is a beast.

Like I said the sale on microcenter will give you a better processor for like $20 more, or you can get the same processor and get a motherboard with it.

Go with my build and take out what you don't need, then add a GTX 670, with your choice of a gaming mouse and keyboard.

What i'm trying to tell you is that the sale will cut down your budget, but it can give you the same or even better performance.

Ok then taking the OS and monitor out will bring you down to like $900. Swap out the case with the one you like. Get 16gb of RAM. Get the gtx 670 or even 680 if you have the money.

If you really want your motherboard, you can get that one too.

Disregarding the monitor, this is $10 over.
