Im in mid build and i haventh yet decided , i have about 1000€ to spend on the grafics

i7 3770, Asus maximus V Formula and 32Gb of Gskill Trident X DDR3-2400M.

The system would be mostly used for video rendering, but also games.

what would be the best choice?!

More about : gtx 680 sli 2x7970 crossfire titan

Both the 2 680's or 7970 ghz are going to kill a titan, so that is out of the question. 7970 is probably a better option because it has more ram and may get slightly better performance.

What happens when you consider microstutter and latency? Then it is harder to make a choice. Nvidia SLI is pretty good, but not perfect and AMD CrossfireX is currently quite poor with future driver that should improve it a lot. Titan has no issues with multi-gpu support, as it is a single GPU card, but it is slower, but will do better with latency.

What is the resolution you are going to be using?

Bystander is righ about the latency. You also need to look at benchmarks to mmake sure a single gpu option isn't the best solution.

Radeon HD 7970 excels in everything except Battlefield, though if you want to save space, go with the GTX 690 instead of Titan.

If you are using 3x 1600p you really don't need more than 1 card. And even though I love AMD, I would recommend the 690, or if you love AMD the 7990. I've had CF/sli issues with x2 cards but not with the x1 card/x2 gpu ones. Ex 2x 7970<7990. Or x2 titans. XD

Dual 7970's will be the strongest technically but until next month when AMD release further Crossfire improvement drivers it will be hit or miss. 2x GTX 680 will be more reliable and stronger than GTX Titan.

If you play any games that don't support SLI/Crossfire, then only one card is going to be used anyways. The Titan is "almost" as good as the 690 for the same price but is a single card solution. If you plan on going to SLI in the future, then you could always add a second Titan later and massively increase your performance.

If you go with Crossfire for now, know that frame stuttering will be pretty bad until the driver updates (which promise dramatic improvements to this problem).

Games are not something to worry about, i play mostly starcraft 2 and it pretty much runs on anything even my crappy laptop that is 6 year old manages to run it, Of course ill play some other games with a great pc like this but im not worrying about that too much for now.

This pc is going to be my main tool for work ( i work at home), and since i mostly do video editing and a lot of multitasking i was asking which card setup woub give me the best performance for that .

@bystander- il be using 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz, >>http://hothardware.com/Reviews/Dell-UltraSharp-U3011-30...

I bought this monitor a while back, costed me something like 1100€, so im not thinking about changing in the near future.

@BigMack70 I meant i was in the mid of building my pc not that i was building a mid range pc ^^

Im down to x2 ASUS 4GB 680 or the Titan, thx a lot for the help so far

I think titans is said to be better than x2 680s at compute. Not sure though.

icraft is wrong. Look at the benchmarks, it's barely even 30% stronger than 1.

If you're going to be gaming at such a high resolution, get the Titan, it really shows its true colors when gaming at high resolutions! :D

I would go with the titan because of compute. Also, won't be as hot and won't consume as much power.
