Better Ram or more Ram?

Right now i have 4 gigs of ddr 3 1333 (10600) but when i go into bios it says its clocked at 800mhz. I wondering if i should get another 4 ddr3 1333 or just upgrade to ddr 3 1600. My crappy rig is AMD Phenom ii x4 965 BE Overclocked to 3.8 and my 7870 double d with a slight over clock.

PS: I have my mobo bios updated if any of you guys were wondering.

What is your motherboard? Maybe it could only support 1333 via OC. Can you set it to 1333 in the BIOS?

My motherboard is a M5A78L-M LX PLUS and it supports 1866 ram with the lastest bios ive updated it with

The max i could change it to was what it was at. 800mhz

800Mhz x 2 = 1600Mhz.

Its possible that your RAM is already overclocked, if it was running at 1333Mhz it would be 667Mhz in the BIOS.

Do you really think thats the case? The ram i bought was cheap because i wanted to get a 7870 instead of a 7850. I thought it would be underclocked to 10600 and i had to overclock to 1333
