Hi Tomshardware community,

I am currently in the planning phase for my DIY powerhouse mini-ITX gaming/programming computer as I will be taking computer science. These are the components I have selected, not yet bought.

Please note that I’m in Canada if you have any recommendation please use this Canadian versions of newegg: ; Amazon: ; NCIX:

As you can see the list is yet to be completed. I still haven’t decided on parts such as GPU, ODD, and CPU cooler yet. The Lian Li TU-200b will probably challenge even the best custom builder so here I am asking for your help as the case I’m building with is extremely cramped up and the reason I picked it is that it has a handle bar so I could to the classic LAN party with my friends. The HDD cage will be removing for more working space and improve air flow by a tiny bit.

Here are my concerns:

-The maximum GPU length that this case supports is 300mm but I’m a bit worried since the case construction doesn’t allow much air flow optimization, I’m thinking of getting GPUs that has stock coolers since they pull air out from the case. Another factor I should tell you guys is I only accept AMD GPU recommendations as I will be messing with OpenCL and probably mining Bitcoin sometimes on it. I will not overclock the GPU core.

-The CPU cooler is the real problem here, with the maximum height of 80cm, I’m thinking of putting a close-loop liquid cooler on the CPU and route the radiator to the front 140mm intake fan; would a Corsair H90 be compatible with it? Also would the H90 mess with the GPU ability to cool? Even though I have chosen a fairly low profile RAM, will it interfere with the CPU cooler mount? Also that I will be doing overclocking as well, probably to 4.5 GHz.

-As for the ODD and SSD mounting, I have heard of such mount that will hold a slim-line ODD and 2.5” SSD with it as well. If such thing exists, it would help me free up a lot of spaces.

I’m open for any suggestion, please feel free to inbox me if you have any long recommendations or ask me more information about my plans. I am an intermediate-experienced PC builder and I have all knowledge on hardware safety, power surge or installation technique.

I apologize for any grammar mistake.
