Leaked 9970 specs (Think this is real?)

This thing would easily be over twice as strong as the 7970...
If these specs are true I could see myself selling my beloved 7970 and getting this not far from launch (Depending on price).

The GPU is perfectly believable. The release date isnt. Nobody is going to have a 20nm process that AMD would use until spring of 2014 at the earliest.

Yeah probably . Then again my 7970 OC still maxes out 99% of the game out there before I apply the 30% overclock so I am fine lol!

So either this rumour is based on some 'really' old drawing that might be just some fan fiction, or it remained hidden for quite some time lol

anyways I think those specs are too good to be true, one shrink and they just double everything? But then again the titan is one huge chip as well...

Yeah but it isn't simple. Like the other guy said this may not be easily done now, but it can be done in early 2014...

Well, they doubled the size going from the 4870 to 5870. You cant really compare 6970 to 7970, as the architecture is new. The die size on this supposed 9970 might go up some, but they're going to have to make a bigger GPU if they want to compete with Nvidia in the top bracket, or if they ever hope to compete with Tesla.

Yeah that's why I think it is possible! It will probably sell for $600-$700 at launch too...

People are speculatimng this will be the form of amd new gpu. The next architecture name might be correct but some said the picture actually was an apu.

@Kari it's an entirely new architecture AND a process shrink. Looks believable compared to the new Nvidia cards coming out and should be absolutely BEAST
