Which system setup is better for gaming?

Basically these two setups is the difference between a 7870 and 7950 GPU (I will only be gaming at 1080p so I dont know if the 7950 is overkill for one monitor at this resolution?)

Setup1:
CPU- FX 8320
GPU- Sapphire Radeon 7870 Ghz edition

Setup2:
CPU- FX 6300
GPU- Sapphire 7950

Motherboard, ram and PSU (600 watt) stay the same.
Just wondering if the extra money ($40) is worth it?

For gaming go with the setup scoring better gpu, in your case it's second setup.

GPU has much more of an impact to performance than the CPU does (except in CPU bottleneck scenarios), go for the 7950 rig.
