Video Card Temperature Help

Hello, I am getting a video card soon. I hear it can get a little hot, so I am going to use MSI afterburner to turn up the fan speed. But, I want to test the temperatures to make sure it's good. I would check it during a game, but I only have one monitor. Is there a way to make MSI afterburner put load on the GPU so you can see the temperature? I know on the side it has them... But is that at idle or at load? Thanks!

To late, I ordered my GTX 670 a few days ago. But none the less, the 7870 isn't compared to a GTX 670. The ATI equivalent is about a 7970... The 7970 out performs the GTX 670 by a slither.

My friend zotak can't be compared with asus remember asus 's products are better than zotak.
see this page of asus gtx 670 http://www.flipkart.com/asus-nvidia-geforce-gtx-670-4-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdgzetrzcge42k?pid=GRCDGZDHMREKYQ5W&ref=b27d2f57-b09f-4a5b-b4f9-f212ef940520

I am actually not a fan of Asus.. And like I said I already bought it. I will say that usually ASUS's products are more quality, but none the less who makes it isn't a factor in this. A 7950 crushes the the 7870
