Pc Specs:-

Mobo- msi g41m-p26
Dual core 3.0ghz processor
4gb ddr3 RAM
450 watts 6 pin connector psu.

I want to ask which graphic card should i buy for gaming purpose (prefering any one from the ATI 6000 series)

Someone told me that my motherboard is only compatible till ATI 1gb ddr3 6450 and will not support any higher series after that due to pcie slot something.

Please help me buy any descent graphic card that should support crysis 3.
Thank you.

Your motherboard will take just about any graphics card. I would recommend a Radeon 7770 or 7750 with the processor you have. You would be better off with the 7000 series because you will get better performance at the same price. I don't know how well Crysis 3 will run on your motherboard. You would have better luck if you were to upgrade to a core 2 quad CPU.

I checked both 7770 and 7750. And i see there specs says that they are both pcie-3.0 supported, whereas my mobo-Msi-g41m-p26 is works at pcie 1.1 that will support a graphic card till of pcie-2.0 .

I checked and Google it and they say that Ati graphic cards are backward compatibile, 2.0 pcie graphics card is compatible till 1.1 and thus 3.0 pcie graphics card is compatible to pcie 2.0

You can run a 3.0 card on a 1.1 slot. If you were to run a high end card like the 7970 it might not be a good idea because it would reduce your performance a little bit, but since you would be using a mid range card it won't make much of a difference.

You can't play Crysis 3 on a dual-core unless it's an i3. Even most quad-cores have a hard time. Sorry, but it is literally the most demanding game available.
