Down grade os

You find a Windows 2000 CD (probably from an Antique Shop) and use it to format the hard drive and install the system. Before that, you need to find out whether Windows 2000 drivers are available for your computer - NT4 based systems were different from NT5 (XP).

Why would you wish to go back to a thirteen year old operating system that lasted only a year before being replaced? I know the more recent systems are expensive but there are cheaper and even free alternatives outside of the Windows family of systems.
