Ubuntu Home Server Build

Hi, I have a quick question
I have all but the motherboard selected for an 4 Tb (8tb but in raid 2) home server
with a 120gb ssd for ubuntu, and minecraft servers.
Should I install a raid card?


The 4 Tb will be for media.
The case is an Antec P183 V3
PSU: Corsair CX750M modular power supply
Cpu: i5 -3570k
HDD: 4 WD Caviar Black 2 tb drives
SSD: Samsung series 8 128gb sata3
RAM: 16 gb Corsair Vengeance Low Profile
Motherboard: ? This is where im stuck
No optical drive

1. Why would you use RAID 2?

2. I'd suggest a different CPU. You're not overclocking it. Try an Intel Core i7-3770S. Would be a bad idea on an Ubuntu home server build.
