What is the best Intel CPU for gaming? (Socket LGA775)?

I'm looking for the best cpu for the money. I want the cpu to be less than £60, I also want the cpu can run dayz without problem (ready got a graphic card). finally i want you send me link to where to buy the cpu must be london or america (if they ship it to uk).

You'll have to check benchmarks to determine if it's fast enough to run dayz. The video card should also be taken into consideration.

Not very well.

The Pentium D is really tragic, even compared to an old Core 2 Duo.

I did have DayZ running on a friends PC which had a Core 2 Duo E6400 and 8800 GTX which ran it ok at 720p but only just.
In the end we picked up a used mobo/Q8400/4gb ram and a gtx 460 for about £100 and it plays it well now and tons of modern games at 1080p if you dont go nuts with the detail settings.
