Hi all

I am thinking of buying a mSATA SSD as my next upgrade for my Gigabyte Z77 mobo(supports SRT). I was thinking of buying a regular SATA SSD but it will cost double or more than that of a mSATA SSD and all I want from this next upgrade is faster loading times such as the time it takes windows to start and the time it takes to load a game. I know a SATA SSD will be blazing fast but for half the price will the mSATA SSD also give me faster loading times and by how much faster?

Specs:
Intel i5 2500
8GB 1600Mhz patriot RAM
Gigabyte Z77 mobo
Gigabyte GTX 660
Samsung 7200RPM 3.5inch drive
Windows 7 Ultimate

Your list of pc hardware suggests you have a desktop pc. Is that correct? If so, then a standard ssd would be a better choice.

The mSATA ssd's were designed for use in small portable pc's such as notebooks and netbooks.

I'm a little bit confused about your comment about prices. Are you comparing prices for a small capacity mSATA ssd against a large capacity standard ssd? Which mSATA and standard ssd's were you comparing?
