I have unallocated space and have 4 partitions in window 7. I can't allocate this space to any other drive because no option of allocation extending is visible. please tell me how can I allocate this space??
Youc an only have 4 primary partitions under the MBR format. Win7 defaults to creating 3 primary partitions and the 4th is an extended. You can expand the adjacent partitions to use the unallocated space. Or you can use diskpart to create more.

Where is the free space located? Is it near the partitions you want to extend. Or it on the end?
[C:][D:][E:][Qextended)][Free?]
I bet its actually free space within the extended partition not taken up by the logical drive... Use a Partition wizard boot disk. Windows can't do what you want.
