I'm undecided on which cpu I should get. I've read all the benchmarks but I don't know which one I should get. Which would would give me the best performance-price and will last me the longest in the future. I can get a new 8350 for $149 plus sales tax (I know someone) or a new 3570k for $220 plus tax. Which one would be the best cpu for me if I wanted to play games such as Battlefield 3, 4, call of duty ghosts, nhl 14 and multitasking

Both CPU will handle gaming and multi-tasking well. It really comes down to what kind of applications you run. Most don't use more than 4 cores.

That said, the Intel Core i5-3570K isn't worth $70 over the AMD FX-8350. So I would buy the AMD FX-8350. Use that $70 that you saved to get a stronger GPU.

Should I just wait for steamroller?

Up to you. They're not released yet and I can't time travel, so I can't possibly tell you if it's worth your time.

I don't care about power consumption cause I've got an unopened 750watt psu. Also I can get and discounts, but I want to know how steamroller performance will be
