monitor does not recognize my computer

i recently rebuilt a new computer about a couple months with new mobo, processor, fan, ram and installed windows 8 for gf. it worked fine when i first gave it to her and ive used it a couple times sporadically with no problems. she has only used it a handful of times and it hasnt seen much usage. the first time i use it again in a while the monitor wont read the machine. i camt get a bios to pop up. ive reseated all parts but i just cant get it going. the monitor works on different machines i have... any thoughts anyone?

i had this problem a couple of months ago..i just replaced my CMOS battery and it just worked fine.. Since you said that the mobo is new, there are very few chances that CMOS battery would die this soon... Also, an unsupported graphic driver update might have caused this......
