If you have ~500 dollars (US) what PSU and Graphics card would you get?

be more specific like what model case you have....

other than that, cooling is not a problem anymore and wont be because of the efficiency since sandy bridge and 6xx/7xxx.

even custom water cooled gpu's dont mean anything anymore since all these newest boosted versions of the current gen cards are voltage locked for now until someone finds a way past that.

just wait for nvidia to release their new stuff in like a month and then you should be able to get a 7970 for like $329 or less and get a simple but good reviewed 600w-650w $60-70 power supply and save the extra money. by the end of the year 1440p monitors will be at $299

4k res power from a gpu is still about 2 years away, even a single titan cant handle 4k, but.... look to see a few 4k hdtv's this holiday season pushed commercially as the new big thing.

Oh wow, i never imagined getting a 7970. Well i guess i'll wait for a month or two if there will be any drop on the prices. If not maybe i'll get a 7870/7950.

Alright. Oh yeah, how long have you had your sapphire 7950? Are there any things that I should be worried about? (Heat etc)

I don't really like the reviews for the 7870 myst lol. Temp issues and such. 7950 might be alright i guess.
