I am going to be using the computer for gaming and school. I play games like skyrim, borderlands 2, and starcraft 2. I also enjoy mmos. Will this build be what i need or is there something better and or less expensive that can accomplish the same thing. Thank you guys for the help.

very good build, all i can help is only minor change in some parts
dvd - lite on is better and more reliable
ram, 8GB is plenty for gaming
cooler, weird same version but cheaper
PSU. xfx is made by seasonic. and its 650W is cheaper now

Do you live near Microcenter location? THE price is "In store" only. We have try to get it for mail order before- not going to happen.

The SSD can be better- I would go with 240 Gb, or at least- Samsung 840 Pro. The other day they had Sandisk 240 Gb for $159 at Tiger (one day only). HDD can be 2 TB for the price. Check out Newegg e-mail deals (top of the front page).

I changed the ram. I got a slightly better ssd card for the same price. I went back to the western digital.
Yes microcenter is not to far from where I live.
Thanks I will definitely be looking on newegg for any deals.

-change the SSD. it performs worse than the plextor m5s
-you only need 550w. and as for modularity, its not going to be useful at that wattage
-get a smaller case. the Lk board itself isnt even full atx. it would look ridiculous inside such a large case

Okay so I changed my SSD to the plextor. What kind of power supply would you recommend?
O I did not know that about the lk board.
