I thought my computer at work broke down because it kept on rebooting. It would go to the XP window that says choose between Safe Mode, Last Good Configuration or Start Normally, and whichever I pick it just keeps rebooting to that point. So I took my flash drive home, stuck it in on my home computer and kept on working. Then when I woke up this morning to turn on my home computer, it did the same thing. I guess I got some virus that corrupts your my boot up.

Last month I had created my regular monthly backup image on my home computer with the DriveImage program however, I now realize it won't work unless I can bootup by my own drive. Totally forgot about that. I got a second hard drive that I can boot up from and access the bad drive but I can't reinstall the image. So how do I fix this problem without having to completely reformat. Some one must have had this problem before.
