Hello,
I have a 4 years old 1005HA eee pc who's hard disk seems to be frozen. I tried to change the memory with a new one thinking that it would do some good (I am not a computer expert...) but it did not change anything. I was able to run an antivirus program up to 97% of the data and the notebook worked fine up to there. Thank the CPU light became solid and the computer froze. For the last week I tried to recover the computer at an earlier date but I was unsuccessful. As soon as I click the recovery tab it freezes.
I would like to try to replace the hard disk but do not know which one I should buy. Most of the hard disks on the internet are for laptops and too big probably for my little notebook.
I would be very grateful if anyone could guide me towards the right one: the original was a 250GB HDD (as indicated on a sticker on my notebook).
Thank you.
Ela

Thank you for suggesting that. Is it something I could do to check if the fan is the problem?
