OK, so I have a 670 from evga, and i use the dvi to connect it to my monitor. I also have a receiver i would like to use for surround sound. I have the intel dz77sl-50k(first time build, bad choice, i know) which only has one hdmi for video, and it is also the digital audio port. How can i use my graphics card for my video, and my HDMI on my mobo for just my sound without causing any problems?

Ive tried using the nvidia hdmi to myh receiver, but i have to have my tv connected for it to pick up, and i have to turn it on as a second monitor to get the nvidia audio from it.

i want graphics card>dvi>monitor
motherboard>hdmi to reciver>get digital sound
