Hey! Im in the process of building my first gaming PC!

The parts iv'e bought:

GPU: Sapphire 7970 Reference 3GB
MOBO: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
CASE: Zalmann Z11 Plus
CPU: Intel i5 2500k
CPU-Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper EVO 212
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600mhz
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache
PSU: Corsair TX650 V2

So now i want to know if this will work with the newest games in like a year or so. My biggest consern is the CPU(2500k), because it only supports PCI-E 2.0. But iv'e read that i dosent make that big a difference, but will it in the near future? Thanks!

I wouldn't limit yourself to PCIe 2.0 if you want to future proof. I've had my system for 2 years and expect it to be fine for another 2-3 years. If that is what you are going for then sure, but I generally like to get 5 years out of my hardware before doing another overhaul.
