I cannot even get 120hz from this effing thing without it being blurry, so im assuming I need a Dual Link dvi-d, correct?!@?!?!?

!> where can i Buy a single to dual link dvi-d cable for my monitor... i am only finding adapters...
i know i can just buy 2 adapters and 1 dual linbk cable...but who wants to do that??

If thats the case ill be pretty bummed out... I run crysis 3 pretty damn good on high settings, pretty smooth...yet when i play BF3 i can play on ultra hitting 70+ fps but choppy as fuck.... I can switch to 120hz on high settings and its super smooth but the screen is not sharp at all, very very blurry.. Im at a lost man

If either your monitor or your GPU are single link, you are out of luck.

Could you post your monitor and your graphics card? If so, we can check it out for you if there's a way to get it to work.

Also I see ur got ur gpu overclocked a bit...I overclocked mine to 1050/1500 and it helped bf3 run better but still not by much and im hitting the high 70sC..~77c...kinda high.. I havn't added any voltage to it, would you recommend ?

According to this, the monitor has a dual link DVI-D connection: http://hothardware.com/Reviews/Asus-VG236-120Hz-LCD-Mon...

Your graphics card should also. You just need to have a dual link DVI-D cable.

Adapters will not work. If your 7950 does not have a dual link DVI port (I or D), then you might be able to find a Displayport to dual link DVI-D adapter.

Maybe I'm mistaking what a dual link is.... my DVI-D looks like 2 sets of 4 pins separated in the middle then 1 longer pin..

and the same on my graphics card as well..

Bystander any ideas on why I cannot reach full 120hz with a CLEAR picture?? I un-installed then re-installed my Catalyst drivers, but nothing.. any idea? Kind of bizarre

Your cable may indeed look like that, and perhaps your graphics card does too (less likely), but the port on the monitor itself probably has a full bar of holes to accept the pins of a dual link DVI-D cable. The problem is you need to get a dual link DVI-D cable, but only if your graphics card has a port that will work with it, which I find hard to believe it wouldn't.

Notice in this picture of your monitor, there is in deed the ability to connect a dual link DVI-D cable to it:

Unless your video card looks different than this ones, your video card should also have a dual link DVI-I port as well:
