Does windows Xp media center use more CPU?

So does it use more CPU than Home or Pro? I know it bascialy runs on pro and I don't have Windows XP Pro on hand its at my house and I just thought I'd go ahead and install media center edition but its on an older laptop amd 2.3 GHz non dual core and would be worried that media center would use more than pro as the requires say it requires a faster processor. I know it will run on this computer fine but since it requires more CPU wouldn't xp pro run better?

Anyone have any Input on this?

Lowest CPU requirment on XP Home is Pro is like 300mhz which is xtreamly low but Media Center Edtion which is (Pro) is 1.6Ghz
