newbie wondering about graphics card/processer/motherboard

hello, im looking to buy a new graphics card
the nividia gt640 2gig
I was going to buy a new processor to go with it but realised that would push my budget over the edge. so I was wondering if this card will work on my motherboard
biostar g31-m7
and I want to know if its a good graphics card etc. also about psu I wish to know if 600watts will be enough. and do processors affect gamplay

It will work with no problems, and a 600W PSU is more than enough.
And to answer your question, processors are just as important as graphics for games, especially Skyrim which is very CPU intensive. Since you said you wanted to play Skyrim on low-medium settings, it will be good enough
