Hey Guys,

Ive been upgrading one of my PC's the past few days, I am fairly new to getting stuck into them myself, as my friends usually built my systems. Anyways im out of internal SATA ports now and Need to add at least one more drive. I was looking at some PCIe cards and i am having trouble understanding a couple of things.

There is PCIe x4 (more expensive) and PCIe x1. If im not using SSD does it matter which i get? What are the differences? I use this system for audio if that helps. Also I was thinking getting a SATA3 is better to future proof but is sata3 for non ssd drives? I understand it is backwards compatible but is there non SSD drives that utilize sata 3 speed?

Altough i need just one more SATA connection at least 2 internals would be nice or 4 even better for further future proofing. So feel free to make some recommendations

The other issue i am having is there seems to be none thats pretty solid ,on newegg all them seem to have pretty much 50/50 reviews work great for some, and not working at all for others. So recommendations welcome. This machine is Windows 7 and the motherboard is Gigabyte GA-PH67A-UD3-B3, Intel H67, ATX.

Any help much appreciated, pretty much a noob when it comes to the nitty gritty of this stuff.
