Hello,

I am in need of a new computer for everyday use. I also would like to get back into gaming but I do not want to waste money on a console system. I figured I might as well build a gaming computer and kill two birds with one stone. I don't plan on buying a lot of games, my plans are just playing Skyrim and the entire Bioshock Series for the most part. If possible I would like to play these games at the maximum settings while maintaining the proper frames per second. I think that number is 60 fps but not sure on that.

Any way here is what I have picked out so far :

Processor - AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) 8 core processor
Motherboard - ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+
GPU - ASUS GTX660 TI-DC2O-2GD5 GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 192-bit
Memory - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000)
Power Supply - Rosewill HIVE Series HIVE-750 750W
SSD - SanDisk SDSSDP-064G-G25 2.5" 64GB
HDD - Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM
CPU Heatsink - COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
Case - Rosewill THOR V2 Gaming ATX Full Tower

Feel free to help me out as I have never built a computer before. I think all these parts are compatible with each other. I am also not sure if that GPU is good enough for what I need/want. Out of the games I want to play, Bioshock Infinite is the newest and it's recommended graphics card is a GTX 560 I think. The one I chose is a 660 TI, but I don't know if it is good enough for max settings. I won't be offended if this setup is horrible and you can find something better!!

EDIT: I did all my picking on NewEgg, I live in the United States, and the final price I got for all this was about 1090.00$
Don't worry about picking out an Operating System, I will eventually buy Windows 7 I think.

Thanks for the help
Blake

The closest one to me is about a 50 minute drive.

If a 100 min drive not worth $70 then don't bother going there. If it is worth your time and gas to go there, then go there.

i5 3570k for $179.99($30 off) and motherboard for $90($40 off)
