Can anyone tell me if the SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD128BW 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive is compatible with a 2007 Macbook Pro?

The drive should work, but the SATA connection is SATA 1.5 Gb/s or SATA 3 Gb/s. A performance gain should be feel able.

I have the late 2008 model and that's a SATA II interface. Likely, you don't need the top of the line SSD to max out the 3.0GB/s rating. You'd be better off getting a lower end SSD at 256GB for a little more.

I ended up buying the Samsung 840 Pro. I installed it last night and my MBP is running top notch. Very fast!
