Their old pc just crashed and I've finally convinced them to let me make them a new one. :wahoo: -they really need a new one because the old pavilion with vista is so laggy and unstable that it was practically unusable.

This will be mainly for day-to-day things; internet, viewing/uploading pictures, and videos. One little caveat here is that they have a bad habit of opening a huge number of tabs and leaving the machine running virtually 24/7.

So I need help figuring out what kind of hardware I need because I don't want to go for a gaming system but something that will still be really fast regardless of how much is going on in the background. Any advice is appreciated.

One question, what kind of a difference would there be if I substituted a A8-5600k for the A10-5800k? It does look like a really great build but I want to squeeze in a a hard disk for storage

I'm partial toward screwysqrl's build, with the smaller SSD and a HDD for storage I can keep the A10. Thanks for the help guys I'm probably going to order a bit later :)

On a side note and a bit of a blunder on my part was making this a "discussion" instead of a "answer" thread
