cd for my product key

i have my product key but not the cd where can i find the original to go with the product key

you can use any install CD as long as it matches your Product Key Version

In my experience, XP won't accept any other key than that embedded in the CD. You would have to know that key and then change it by going through the telephone activation process and explaining the change to the advisor. Later versions of Windows OS are more relaxed about the activation stage - you can change the key manually - but the disk and the key still have to match to get through the installation.
