Hi there, im currently using a Toshiba P755-1002X and was thinking of upgrading to the 660M card from a 540M.
I know nuts about laptop's so i was wondering if its actually possible to upgrade my card as the 540M doesnt even get me medium settings in most games.

Ive never really knew much about laptops, But assuming you are going to try to replace the GPU anyway. See how much power the 660M draws and compare that with the 540M. Since It might suck twice the power.

it wont happen. the CPU and GPU are soldered in. no way you can easily replace them. even if you can de-solder them and do a re-solder, there is no guarantee it will work with the motherboard
