i7 930 max temp while gaming (not overclocked)

Ok so I was given a motherboard with an i7 930 and 24 gigs of ram from a friend. He sent it to me, and advised that I would need to redo the thermal paste on it. I did that, installed everything and it seems to be working so far. I'm just afraid that I might not have done the thermal paste correctly (haven't had to do that much) or have enough air flow in my system for cpu.

I have 2 fans running in it, thinking about adding a third, but when I play games like diablo 3, and resident evil revelations two of my cores have reached 91-93C, and it idles between 39-48c depending on the core...

I have read that they max temp is 100C and that it will shut down after that, but i dont want anything to happen to it and have to replace it. Any help would be great.

By the way its not overclocked

93C is way too hot. Take steps to cool it:

- Re-apply thermal paste if you have to (scrub the old off first)

- Clean case/fans of dust.

- Run the appropriate software like Malware bytes/windows updates to protect against malware.

- Get a bigger/better case if necessary.
