Hi! I build my own pc and put in a 680 classified, and now that i have it, im kinda wondering if i got a bad one....if that happens.. The reason i have doubts is because...well it has a hard tome running NFS most wanted, and simcity at full. I mean i pay $600 and i can run these games at full? What's with that? I have unigine valley benchmark extreme HD and my average is 24 fps! But the lowest was 14fps. This isn't what i expected from this card. I looked at other scores and their getting 35+ is it normal for this card to be like this? Tell me if im doing something wrong. I will answer any questions you ask

Have you tried reinstalling your drivers and setting power control to full via MSI Afterburner?
May 23, 2013 4:37:06 PM

No....how would I go about doing that?

Working fine?

Afterburner is Overclocking/monitoring(OSD)/recording software.

Just set the Power Limit(%) slider to max and hit apply.

No, increasing the Power Target isn't gonna hurt it. Just lets the card use the power it needs without throttling.

May 27, 2013 1:46:46 PM

Ok...so i just figured out somthing strange....so i was benchmarking in full screen mode. Then i went into windowed mode and the fps shot up to ten more than previous. Now im getting 40 where as before i was getting 30. Why would it do that?
Anyway, ever sense i got the new driver the fps have been increased a little and the power increase has helped a little but when i put it into windowed mode, i get ten more fps than before. Do you have a explanation?

No, not really. I'd expect 45-50fps but have to factor in background applications.

I know this is a random question, but do you have a Logitech keyboard?
May 28, 2013 7:29:37 PM

You are not suppose to overclock that beast to get good fps @ 1080p...

Where did you plug your video card ?? The upper pciexpress or the lower ? Or maybe the middle one ? You have to plug it in the upper one (16x)

Try stopping the lcore.exe process -

contro+shift+escape
Processes
find lcore.exe
right click and end process and retest.

Sorry, my phone. "it's"... under gaming load.

May 31, 2013 5:03:01 PM

Ok so no....but I monitored it when it was running unigine valley.
After all of this....i do think my GPU is under-performing 10-15 fps. Would you agree?

No, more like 5fps...

May 31, 2013 9:36:02 PM

Ok.....do you think that it is worth going through the trouble to try to replace it?
And if so......how do I even know its my GPU? Cant it be my CPU instead?

In the end they'd probably deny you then you'd have wasted time. Have you tried changing Windows Power Options to "high performance"?

Processors either work or don't work. Typically if a cpu is under performing it's usually due to software.

June 1, 2013 4:37:54 PM

Ok. Yes it's on high performance. Thanks for helping me with this all, sorry if i was a pain. Have a great day (or night)! Thanks once again! :)
