Pc to tv - graphics card?

i was planning to buy an 1 gb graphics card for playing games like fifa 13, arkham asylum etc. i need to connect my pc to my tv for playing games. Do i have to buy a different graphics card for this or will an 1gb one do

Sorry i forgot to mention this earlier. but my pc monitor is 20in and my tv is 46in hdtv. wont that make any difference? even the hd part?

Nope, as I said to the GPU a screen is a screen. The physical size doesnt matter, though the resolution does.
If your gaming a higher resolution will lead to a better image quality, but decreased FPS.

So what exactly are you suggesting? the 2gb or 1 gb?

Get the 2GB. Games at a 1080p resolution are quite easily using more than a GB of VRAM, some are even starting to use more than 2GB.

Though a graphics card performance comes down to more than how much VRAM it has, what cards are you looking at buying?
