My PC restarts frequently

Help me please! My PC restarts frequently.. I have windows XP SP2...

Have you run an A/V scan? Since you are running SP2, your are missing a lot of security updates. Hundreds of updates have been released since SP3.

Follow these steps to solve your problem
-Go to Start,
-open Control Panel
-Select Performance and Maintenance
-Click System
-Click on the Advanced Tab
-Click Settings in the Startup and Recovery section
-Uncheck Automatically Restart in the System failure section

If this solution doesn't work then follow these instructions. May be it happens due to hardware issue

-First you should Change the CMOS battery on your motherboard
-Clean the motherboard, Cable Slots of Hard disk, RAM Slots, CD Drive Slot etc inside the CPU box
-Attach one more fan inside the box to exhaust the hot air from inside the box to outside
-Install a good Anti-Virus program on your system and run full system scan. Checkout free versions of good Antivirus or Internet Security programs
