What is the "Add a solution" dropdown used for? I don't understand any of the options either.

More about : add solution dropdown

That would be to add a tutorial you may have created. It helps for when you are answering the same question over and over again, and just want to quickly add a response. You can create a Tutorial by building one in the Tutorials section.

I am seeing a list of tutorials I haven't created (although it doesn't always appear), and most of them have nothing to do with the subject of the thread. Probably due to my permissions I guess.

As a mod, you might be seeing all tutorials available, or at least the first 50.

When going back in to edit an existing reply, why does this recurringSolutions drop down list automatically get populated with the last entry in the list?

You don't realize it's happened until you click on the > Answer button and you see your resulting edited reply with something embedded into your reply that you never chose.

You have to re-edit the reply again and select Add a solution to get that embedded text to go away.

Please fix this annoyance.
