Is 5400 RPM ok for gaming?

I'm building a budget gaming PC and I have an old 500GB HDD but its only 5400 RPM. Would the load times be dramatically slower than a 7200 RPM for gaming or should I cough up the money and buy a 7200 RPM HDD? I wouldn't mind waiting an extra 10- 15 seconds for map load times if it means an extra 70-$100 to put toward a graphics card.
