A device can be completely manufactured overseas and shipped to the US.
They then install the batteries in the US and label it "Made in USA".

Sounds like it is just an assembly plant. 100 Million doesn't seem like much for Apple to spend. They will get good PR with it being "Made in America."

Although I'm not the biggest supporter of Apple, this is a step in the right direction. However, how much would this Mac cost due to U.S. citizens being employed vs cheap offshore labor? Also, "include components made in Illinois and Florida" still leads on that the majority of the parts are not U.S. made.

Foxcon will build plants in the US so that Apple can label the devices as made in USA.

This sounds good but it seems to be a little PR stunt. Apple your products are made in China just admit it and move on.
Samsung has invested well over 4B in Texas which of course is why Apple chose Texas. Invest over 4B in Texas then you have me believing you make "stuff" in the US like Samsung does.
