Do you use an image hosting service? Most of us don't run servers, so we use something like photobucket or imgur.

Once you have an image hosted, copy the link and either
1) Just past the link and have people follow it
2) When editing your post, click on the icon for the picture and paste your link into it
3) Remove the spaces and type "[ IMG ]" followed by your link followed by "[ / IMG ]".

In the latter two cases, the image should show up as part of your post.
