Hello,

I have a p8z77-v deluxe motherboard, and now I have a problem.
Since we all know Marvel ports are bad, I don`t know what to do.
I have 2*HDD which I would like to put in RAID 0 (Seagate sv35 - suports 6gb/s) and an Intel 520 SSD.

Intel has only 2 ports with SATAIII, and the problem is I would need 3.
Should I put SSD on my Marvel one (I`m reading that the speeds on those ones don`t go above 400mb, which I don`t like) or is if I put one HDD on SATAIII and one HDD on SATAII.
Will I lose a lot of speed with that?
What do you guys think I should do?

Thanks for all the help,
K

Put the SSD on the SATA 3 and the HDD 1 on SATA3 and HDD 2 on SATA2
Once you see SSD performance you will not need RAID 0 on HDD.

I had it now on SATA3, but the problem is it`s only 120GB which isn`t much. So now I bought another 1TB HDD so I would have 2.
Would I lose a lot with one HDD on SATA3 and one on SATA2?

You not gonna see SATA2 - SATA3 difference ....
And 128 Gb SSD is fare enough for OS - see my sign ..... i`m on 50 % free ..... 4-5 month OS usage
