How to fix Motherboard Beeping

I am building a computer and when I turn on the motherboard it beeps obnoxiously. It beeps once for one second then a second time for three seconds and then pauses then repeats. The manual says it is from a bad memory or memory configuration error. Also the motherboard isn't connected to a monitor. I don't want to disable the beeping I want to solve the problem. PLEASE HELP!

Hi, detailing the components would help.
Try starting the board with no RAMs inserted, check the beeps pattern, then power off, insert single RAM module, start the board and see if you get the same pattern or a different one.
