Simply, ATI doesn't exist any more, AMD took over in 2005/6. All Radeon cards are now AMD.
Some people may still refer to them as ATI but that's just habit.

Well the latest series is 7 thousand series. Each year a new series is released and they're better and more powerful.

Easy way to work them out, The first number is the series, example "7"870. The second number is the model, ranging from 1 being the least powerful to 9 being the most. The third number is an extension of the second number, it just means that they're the same card but one is turbocharged. So a 7870 is more powerful than a 7850.
So from the current series of AMD cards, the 7750 is the weakest and the 7990 is the most powerful. And of course the price reflects this: 7750=£65 / 7990=£800.

So are you looking for a new card or building a new rig???

So the card you referred to in your thread title, the 7540D, is a very low-end card, well it's not actually a graphics card at all. It's an Integrated GPU, meaning it is part of a CPU, the same as Intel's HD4000. They are both only to give you the ability to play a Blu-Ray or watch a HD YouTube vid. Games this side of 2005 will be unplayable, unless it's a very low-end game like MineCraft.

Right the 7540D is part of the A series CPU, (AKA iGPU) the FX series CPU's do not have integrated graphics, so any graphics it comes with will be motherboard integrated.

What resolution will you be playing on???

To be honest unless you are gonna be playing in SD those sorts of games will be unplayable, especially on medium settings. If your resolution is 1080p you are gonna struggle to maintain above 25fps. 60fps is consider to be the sweet spot, below 40fps things start to get very laggy sluggish and juddery, below 30fps well..... :-\

Well, at only 720p you may just be able to get a decent playable frame-rate on low setting on a fair few games. New, (Next Gen) games such as Tomb Raider 2013 or Metro LL maybe not.

What kind of budget do you have for a "dedicated" GPU???

I am not hardcore gamer just play games for time pass so i really don't need dedicated GPU so any suggestion ?
Secondly i will play games with default automatic setting so i don't think i need GPU as A6 6400k have integrated GPU and using shared RAM From Mobo
Any Suggestion ?
