Hello everyone,

I'm planning to upgrade my gpu but I can't decide which one to buy. I will buy either:
1) Powercolor HD 7970 v2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131465
2) Zotac GTX 670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500242
(Both are available in my country, links are just for reference)

So I heard that their performances are almost identical and prices are also equal, which makes it even harder to decide. I want to learn your opinions about these cards considering performance, temperature and power consumption. Also please write your opinions about the brands too because I've never used products of Zotac and Powercolor before. I have a 550 watt gigabyte psu, is it sufficient for these gpus?

PS: Do you know how many fans the zotac gpu has? Does it have two fans or just one?

Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your answer. 7970 is pretty good but one of my concerns is the power consumption. When I buy 7970 my build will the like this:
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD55
CPU: Intel Core i5 2400
GPU: HD 7970
HDD: 1TB 7200rpm Western Digital
8GB Ram

The problem is I don't know if my 550 watt psu will be sufficient to run this system. Maybe it can run in idle state but not sure about full load. Waiting more answers regarding psu or gpus. Thank you.

You might be pushing it with a 550 watt Psu, after overclocking both CPU and GPU it's very likely you'll go over that much. I personally like having a larger PSU than needed because I just like knowing I have headroom. How much would you be willing to spend for a PSU and do you care if its modular? I could give you some suggestions based on your price point.
