I have a PC here for about $570. I think it seems pretty solid, but I would like to know- Should I go with an A8-5600k or the Phenom II X4 965? (I would obviously change out the mobo) I really only game on Minecraft and probably COD or something when I get it. Might get GTA V when it comes out.

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($36.15 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($56.02 @ Amazon)
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 7850 1GB Video Card ($139.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: Raidmax 530W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($36.49 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($90.91 @ Amazon)
Other: Modem for internet ($25.00)
Other: Case ($35.00)
Total: $569.53

In case you are wondering, the modem is cheap because for ethernet I have to move it downstairs next to my computer, and the $25 is for the cable guys to install a phone jack because our phone runs off the modem.

That power supply is a POS, and you don't need a modem. That will be supplied by your ISP, and your motherboard has a built in NIC (ethernet). You're throwing $25 away there. I'd suggest increasing your budget a bit to get a better system, especially if you want to play GPU intensive games like GTA:

I went a bit over but this would be a far better use of that budget:

- Better CPU (the 965 is getting really old and hard to recommend)
- More RAM
- GPU remains the same
- Better PSU

The modem is there because I need ethernet. We don't have it running through the walls or anything.

Also, I need the OS to be included within the price.

NIC functions are built into your motherboard - there's no need to buy extra. It's a waste of money.

Maybe try this:

Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($84.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($62.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.98 @ Outlet PC)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB Video Card ($173.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT Source 210 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($39.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: XFX 550W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($54.99 @ NCIX US)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer ($14.99 @ Newegg)

That PC is still too expensive.

What I'm saying about the internet is that I don't want to game on wifi. There is no way I can get a wired connection to my pc without a modem/router combo. Could you explain what you are saying better?
