I've bought my computer a few years ago and now the GPU has been starting to annoy me (overheating to the point of the computer just cutting the power off when playing a game such as Skyrim or Tomb Raider), so I decided it's time to upgrade.

Few questions, will my Intel E5200 CPU bottleneck my system/GPU?

Will the GPU be compatible with my motherboard which is an Intel DP43TF, PCI-Express 2 x16?

Would I notice a considerable difference between the two GPUs?

Is the 2GB version of the HD7790 worth the extra money compared to the 1GB version?

What wattage PSU should I have to satisfy the HD7790?

The E5200 will surely bottleneck the HD 7790. We have the same CPU and i have 7770, and it bottlenecks in cpu hungry games and applications.

Your mobo has a 2.0 gen slot, and 3.0 cards are backwards compatible with 2.0.

Yes absolutely, you will have a major boost in your performance.

I recommend 1GB version of the card if you have a 1 monitor set up only, 2GB and up cards are for multi monitors set up.

AMD site recommends atleast 750W or greater with two 8PIN PCI connector from the PSU.
